Extra Time wins Best Writing at the Monkey Bread Tree Film Awards 2016

Extra Time received five nominations from the Monkey Bread Tree Film Awards and won the award for Best Writing.

The short film about the affects of parental divorce on a teen, was also nominated for Best Direction, Best Editing, Best Score (by Amir Muhammad) and Best Actress (Lydia Lakemoore). 

The independent film awards jury stated "A wonderfully original story carries Extra Time. The characters are fresh, and the tale is carefully balanced." This marks for the first award nomination for composer Amir Muhammad and actress Lydia Lakemoore, director Caris Rianne has also received her first nominations for directing, writing and editing.
