Foxhole Spotlight: Eloise Rust

Eloise Rust... first worked with us on the award winning short film Extra Time. She now returns in Foxhole as the vulnerable cult member, Megan. Here she talks to us about the making of the short thriller.

Interview by Cecilia Gragnani.

What attracted you to the story of Foxhole?

The idea of a cult of women seemed like such an interesting idea to explore especially with all the twists and turns throughout the film!

Tell us a little bit about your character, Megan,

I’d describe Megan as a child-like character who just wants be loved by everybody and looks for a mother figure.

What helped you get into character?

I was given a teddy bear on set which helped me get into character by allowing me to show the fact Megan has a child like side but also how she looks for comfort.

How did you find the filming process?

I really enjoyed the filming process, I was given good direction throughout allowing me to get into my role easily.

What was it like working with the rest of the cast?

I loved working with the rest of the cast. They’re very dedicated actors, easy to work with and lots of fun on set.

Eloise behind the scenes

What was it like working with the director and the Rianne Pictures team?

Caris and the Rianne Pictures team were really supportive throughout the process and are all great people to be around!

How was the premiere screening?

The premiere screening was a great opportunity to see everyone and as I haven’t attended a screening before it was amazing to see the whole film come to life, especially seeing all the hard work that goes into putting a film to screen.

What was your favourite part of your experience on Foxhole?

I enjoyed the whole day I was on set, I’d been looking forward to it for a long time and it exceeded expectations!

What would you want the audience to take away from watching Foxhole?

I’d like the audience to think about the importance of opening up to people around them so they can get the support they need if they ever found themselves in a situation as shown in Foxhole.
